Soneye explained that petrol prices are influenced by market conditions, stating, “the price of petrol is subject to market forces. For example, if the price of Brent crude oil rises from $70 to $80, the cost of petrol is likely to increase as well. For the 16.8 million litres we received today, the price was set at N898 per litre.”

Earlier reports by DAILY GAZETTE indicated that petrol loading from the Dangote Refinery was scheduled to start on Sunday.
