Dr. George Moghalu, former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), has condemned the killing of eleven young men by unidentified gunmen during the Onwa Asaa festival at Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State, last weekend.

He highlighted the frequency of such attacks as a pressing issue, stressing that maintaining security should be a priority for any responsible government.

Moghalu called on the administration led by Governor Charles Soludo to take immediate and decisive action to prevent Anambra from descending into a haven of violence and insecurity.
